I'm using a clean install of Leap, and am liking it 90% of the time. The other 10% are problems that I need to fix. This is one of them.
After suspending to RAM, when I resume one of the following four things happen:
- The keyboard is frozen HARD and can NOT be fixed. Hitting NumLock or CapsLock does not turn their lights on or off; hitting Fn keys (Fn+F5 to toggle the touchpad on my machine, for example) does nothing; I can't open virtual terminals; even the Magic SysRq keys do NOT work. It's as if the keyboard cable had been cut. The only solution to this is to hold the power button for 10 seconds to shut of the computer.
- The keyboard is frozen hard but by closing the lid, waiting, and opening it again (2-3 times sometimes) I can get it to work. This may or may not be the same problem as above.
- After logging back in, the desktop is a black screen, there are no panels, and only a mouse cursor is visible. Here I can try to restart plasma5, but it tends to not last, so I have to reboot.
- Normal operation. Probably happens only 40-50% of the time.
What's going on here? 1 and 2 happened every once in a while in 13.2 (say, 1 of every 20 times I resumed). 3. Never happened. Now, 1 and 2 happen maybe 40% of the time and 3 the other 10%.
Thanks for any help!
