Where does Alien (.deb converter) save its converted .rpm files?
in the same folder where the original deb file is.
alien is a multi converter it can convert rpm to deb and I it can output Slackware tgz files too, as I haven’t used it in a long time but I do believe an Arch conversion is possible too, as arch files are xz compressed tar files quite similar to Slackware’s tgz, but alien is probably dead ie not being actively developed and finding a native rpm is much better then using a converted deb as the debianers never really liked the LSB (Linux Standard Base).
