    Default Help Patching Wine Stagging

    Hi

I posted this previously under "Games" which apparently is the wrong place

My background is from Fedora.... I am currently transitioning from Fedora 21 to OpenSuse 13.2 because Fedora elected to adopt KDE 5 way way way to early.

I have one remaining issue which is wine-stagging. I require wine-stagging because there are problems with wine and a game that I play that is resolved in wine-stagging.

I have installed wine-stagging as per the instructions at:
    https://github.com/wine-compholio/wi...tion#-opensuse

And it works. However, recently one of the games that I play has issued a patch to the game that runs into a problem. The issue was documented at:
    https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39333

As you can see from the bug report at winehq a patch has been issued and it works. I was able to use mock to patch Fedora's rpms and they work.

However, after downloading the SRPM from:
    http://download.opensuse.org/reposit...SUSE_13.2/src/

I modified wine.spec and rebuilt the SRPM and I am now looking for the correct "build" command to rebuild the 32bit binaries.

    running

    build wine-staging-1.7.51-1.2.src.rpm

builds 64bit binaries build without a hitch but I cannot find a way to build the 32bit binaries. Ideally I would like to mimic the results from the original rpm with both the 32bit and 64bit binaries compiled and packaged. However, I really only require the 32bit binaries.

    I tried:

    build --arch 32bit:64bit wine-staging-1.7.51-1.2.src.rpm

    and

    build --arch 32bit wine-staging-1.7.51-1.2.src.rpm

but I keep getting error messages telling me that build is unable to find the 32bit dependancies.

    example:

    [ 2s] expansion error
    [ 2s] nothing provides Mesa-devel
    [ 2s] nothing provides alsa-devel

Please forgive my noobiness. Being able to do this is the final piece of my desktop puzzle that would allow me to transistion my last desktop pc from Fedora to OpenSuse. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks

    Eli

Wouldn't it be easier to branch one of the packages found here: https://software.opensuse.org/package/wine-staging
Someone might already have included the patch, otherwise you could add it to the branched package and build your own version

I have branched the project from DarkPlayeripelight.

I get " No live log available: remote error: wine-suse no logfile"

Thank you for any advice you may provide.

PS... Problem with patience on my part... Oh wait.. my bad.. the project is building.

    Hi
If you look at using osc locally, then no delays when building locally
