Default iTunes still present although wine removed

    Hi there!

I installed iTune via Wine. However ITunes did not work. I think this was a stupid move. I uninstalled wine without removing iTunes first.

I now have iTunes in my menu which does not work. I tried reinstalling wine but it does not show iTunes in it to uninstall. Currently i have uninstalled wine again.

How do i remove iTunes, cuse its no longer listed in Wine. I also tried installing wind and reinstalling iTunes but get a message that a version of iTunes is already present.

Please help... i want to get rid of iTunes now.

    Thanks,
    James

    Hi James,

Which menu do you mean the normal KDE desktop menu?

If it is the desktop menu then just right click the launcher icon choose
edit applications and navigate to where iTunes is and use the delete
function this will get rid of that icon.

If you want to make sure everything wine and iTunes related are completely
gone after un-installing wine then use a filemanager enable "Show Hidden
Files" which will be an option somewhere depending which filemanager you use
and in your home directory look for the .wine folder and just delete that as
well, then there will be nothing left at all :-)
