    Default 13.2 Upgrade breaks Hibernate

    This workstation was happy to hibernate with 12.1 -> 13.1, .. now it fails after upgrading to 13.2 last week:

    That's your problem, in the line that says "Secondary root hub is not
    suspended". I don't know what it really means, but that's the thing that
    aborts the hibernation.

    I would suggest to try updating the kernel... :-?

    That could be the case - looks like there is something broken in the USB system for 13.2

    You can report a regression in bugzilla.
    And testing with a newer kernel might help.

    Default Hibernation is problematic, because programmers are not bears.

    Since years, hibernation and sleep are problematic topics.

    Try this. Remove and prohibit installation of package suspend. Install package pm-utils. If you use the nvidia driver, add nomodeset to boot parameters. Reboot.
