    Default Does anybody know what "WatchDog" or "rtkit" does for Open Suse

    I have noticed when I shutdown, the text screeen tells me WatchDog software did not shutdown and remains open. What does it do? I am thinking it is spyware that is running on my machine?????

    Hi
    The watchdog is part of the kernel;
    https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documenta...tchdog-api.txt

    The rtkit is tied into pulseaudio;
