Default Drag and drop from KRunner

Under OpenSUSE 13.2 KDE, how to drag and drop a file found by KRunner (by default launched by hitting Alt+F2) to Thunderbird (for example)?

Sometimes DragNDrop isn't always supported, how about copy (CTL-C) and Paste(CTL-V)?
(If you haven't done this before, first select the object or text you want to copy, execute the keyboard command to copy, then click where you want to paste a copy and then execute the keyboard command to paste).
