Thread: Oracle JDK missing in the "update-alternatives" list

Question Oracle JDK missing in the "update-alternatives" list

    Hi!
I have already installed Oracle JDK by using the .rpm file provided by Oracle, and would like to switch to it instead of using Open JDK.
However, Oracle JDK did not present in the update-alternatives list, so I was not able to select it.
How do I solve this problem?
    Thanks!

You have to add it to update-alternatives' list yourself, the Oracle packages do not do that.
    See here: https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Installi...te-alternative

Then you should be able to select it.
