    Default Bluetooth issues on 13.1

    Hi,

I'm using a Bluetooth dongle that seems to be recognized by OpenSUSE 13.1 (on Gnome) but I'm unable to pair any device. When I set turn the visibility on, the computer is still invisible to other devices. However, the day I installed the OS, I was able to pair the computer with my phone, but now the phone and any other device is unable to see the computer.
I don't know what information you would need to troubleshoot this issue, so feel free to ask. Here is one of the lines output by lsusb :

    Code:
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)
    Thanks

    Hi,

    you can intall the package

    Code:
    rfkill
if it is not installed yet and you can checkout your bluetooth dongle via

    Code:
    rfkill list
to unblock it if it is blocked

    Code:
    rfkill unblock bluetooth
    or

    Code:
    rfkill unblock all

Thanks for your reply. I just installed rfkill, and it confirms that the dongle isn't soft or hard blocked. What else can I try?

Also, check that bluetooth service is running
    Code:
    systemctl status bluetooth.service

    Here :

    Code:
     hcitool dev
    Devices:
        hci0 00:15:83:45:69:F9
    Code:
    hcitool scan
    Scanning ...
So the second command doesn't actual return anything.

There were issues with openSUSE 13.1 concerning Bluez 4 and Bluez 5, affecting Gnome/KDE at the time. Well discussed in this this thread.

In particular, post #18 onwards may be helpful to you
