    Default Online Backup

Has anyone experience with or can recommend a good, and cheap, online backup service? In my case, that would never be more than 5GB.

Thank you and have a nice day,

You mean on the Internet ("in the cloud" as it is called by those who want to show that they are up-to-date)?

Then it might be of interest if you want it stored in your own country, anywhere on the globe (under legislature you have no influence on), etc. In other words, IMHO trust i an important factor here.

Thank you. Yes, in the "cloud", anywhere. Have used Gmail for years and do not know where that is stored. If I knew my data are stored, say, in Canada where I live, I could not control if they move or mirror the data to some server farm in another country..........Holland perhaps.

    Have a nice day,

Since you already have Gmail, that includes a Google Drive account, good for `15GB. You could tar the data locally, then upload the tarfile.
Another solution is a free account on box.com, you can mount that using webdav.

Hello, I have experienced with a good and cheap online backup solution i.e CloudBacko Pro. It majorly supports windows, mac, linux, unix etc. So this appears a good option. Have a look and try it.
