    Is this resolved? It looks like the other bugzilla report with firefox has been open 11 years now. In this case, what's hapenning to me is "MATE's Caja" is opening instead of my Dolphin. The work arounds don't seem to work for me (including the dbus service file).

    Uninstalling nautilis!

    If that doesn't work, switching to Chrome.

    Of course uninstalling nautilus or changing nautilus' dbus service file won't help if caja is started...

    You'd have to modify _caja_'s dbus service file, /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.mate.freedesktop.FileManager1.service, or uninstall caja, of course.

    Btw, I would really be interested what happens when you have both caja and nautilus installed...
    Will caja then be used even inside GNOME? Or will nautilus be used in MATE?
    IMHO, this org.freedesktop.FileManager1.service is broken by design.
    And that's unrelated to Firefox, but they shouldn't use that at all I'd say.
