Default creation of vhost in webmin - beware of the user & groups

    hello good evening dear opensuse-experts

hope you are well and everything goes well across the Atlantic.

Well i am pretty new to adminstration of servers via webmin

at the moment i figure out how to configure the vhost user / group

which steps need to be taken:

    a. creating the directory with sftp and then
    b. creating the vhost with webmin

well; According the documentation here: http://tutorials.securesignup.net/vp...th-webmin.html
it seems to be necessary to go this way.

    STEP ONE: Make the docroot
    Code:
Login to your VPS via SSH

        #mkdir /home/domain.com/
        #mkdir /home/domain.com/www/
        #exit

STEP TWO: Create the Apache Configuration
    Code:
        Login via Webmin

    -Click Apache Webservers
    -Click Create virtual host

guess that it is mandantory to do it exacly this way.
otherwise the user & group of the Apache Vhost will not work well.

    love to hear from you

    Please Dilbertone,

This is a technical question. Why do you use the Community & Fun > General Chit-chat forum for this. Here one talks about ones cat, car or other mostly non Linux blablabla.
