Thread: Google Chrome memory leak?

  1. #1

    Default Google Chrome memory leak?

I installed Chrome from google's download (rpm for suse). Its current version is 39.0.2171.71 (64-bit). My PC has 4GB memory. When Chrome is launched, it starts to take more and more memory up to 3.5GB until bring my pc to a grinding halt. Look like a serious memory leak, anybody encounters something similar?

Take a look in Chrome's built-in task viewer and see if there's a
particular tab or extension that's sucking memory.

Thanks Jim! Good trick to know. I haven't been able to recreate the crash case yet, but will keep trying in order not to get into that scenario for crucial jobs.
