simple screen recorder segmentation fault

I have been using this great application, simple screen recorder, for a
about a year now, and it has always worked very easily. I have tried
recorditnow and recordmydesktop, but I cannot get the sound to work on
those, so I was using simple screen recorder. The sound part is very
easy, you just set it to pulseaudio as the back end and the source as
“monitor of built in audio analog stero”.

It was working fine for months, and then I didn’t use it for about a
month, and have done a few updates, and now it won’t work. When I set it
up and finally hit the record button, it just shuts down. Here is the
error that comes through:

It is that last part, “segmentation fault”, where it just shuts down. I
got the application from packman.

I don’t know very much about video recording, so I don’t know what else
to put down here.

What else do I need to try and troubleshoot and make this work? Should I
contact the developer?

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide. I need to get this
application working again.
