  1. #1

Default cannot use command line parameter in gnome menu?

I need a shortcut for thunderbird --compose
When editing gnome menu to add item, the Ok button gets greyed out when I add the parameter?!?

Try putting the command in quotation marks.

    It should be 'thunderbird -compose'.

    Hi
Copy the relevant desktop file from /usr/share/applications to
~./local/share/applications and edit the desktop file exec entry.

    What specifically are you entering?

I just tried it on 13.1 here, and it worked OK:

    http://paste.opensuse.org/35641494

I pressed OK, and then launched it.

You do need to specify the full path to the binary, I believe.

Otherwise, we'll need to know what utility you're using to add the menu
    item.
