Screen Lock Interval - openSUSE 13.1 GNOME

Hi,

I’m used to ubuntu. There is an option in ubuntu to change the screen lock interval - the period of time for inactivity before the screen locks. I can’t seem to find it in openSUSE and it’s driving me bananas. Could someone tell me please how to configure the interval.

Thanks,

Depends on what desktop you use.

Look around the screensaver config, or power saving features.

Hi - I’m using GNOME and I have been trying to find it in various places. I never would have thought to look in the power settings. The options were limited - max 15 minutes or turn it off. I’ve turned it off.

Thanks Carlos

Hi
You can set via gsettings or dconf-editor to the desired time in seconds, eg for 30 minutes;

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.session idle-delay 1800

gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.session idle-delay
uint32 1800

Thanks for this!

LOL. I missed the “gnome” on the subject line.

Typically, gnome hides the sophisticated settings. I see Malcolm has
posted the exact place to configure that detail.
