Repositoriies for music SW eg Linux sampler and qsampler

Hi
Does anyone know an openSuse music repository ?

Or where could I find rpm for qsampler and/or linuxsampler. I need this for the DAW Ardour. All I found on the net seams to be for ubuntu and does not compile. … annoying.

There’s not really a specific “music” repository.
But there’s multimedia:libs and multimedia:apps on OBS.

And there’s Packman of course, the multimedia repo for openSUSE. This contains all the restricted codec stuff, and software compiled to use it.

linuxsampler is available from Packman. If you don’t have added the Packman repo to your system yet, just enter YaST->Software Repositories, click on “Add”, select “Community Repositories”, and add it from the list there.
You should then find linuxsampler in YaST->Software Management.

qsampler I could only find in a home: repo on OBS:

You seem not to know that there is a way to search for software packages installable on openSUSE: http://software.opensuse.org/search

got it !!! indeed I have never used the package search facility. Well in future …

Now the next step is to make work it with Ardour. Quite complex system, great when you find out how it works !
