    Default Changing password?

When I tried to change my password, I got a message that said
The password you have entered does not match your current one. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again.
I am 100% sure that I entered the right password, since I was able to log in with it. Why can't I change my password?

And how/where exactly are you trying to change your password?

Running "passwd" in a terminal window should work in any case.
But note that you have to run it as the user that wants to change the password, _not_ root. Running it as root will of course change root's password (but you can specify the username, whose password should be changed).

    Oh. Sorry.

But the question remains: how/where exactly are you trying to change it?
The password is not stored inside the forum database but somewhere else, so you cannot change it inside your forum account profile.

    From the FAQ:

How do I change my password?

To change your forum password, go to http://forums.opensuse.org while not logged in.
    * Click on the REGISTER/LOGIN link in the upper right corner.
    * Click on the LOGIN ASSISTANCE link there.
    * In the left column, hit EDIT ACCOUNT
    * Enter your ID/PW and click on LOGIN
    * In the LOGIN INFORMATION section you will be able to enter a new password

Hello. Long since forgot security question. Is there another way to change password. Thanks.

Not really, no - you can try contacting Microfocus directly for
assistance (use the feedback form on the login page IIRC).
