    Default System Info Command

    I just did a fresh install of Opensuse V13.1 and kde.

    Is there a command that creates a system profile of what HW I've got, graphics card, graphics driver, network card, network driver, etc.

    Thank you.
    Regards,

    YaST->Hardware->Hardware Information

    KInfocenter (you should have an icon for that on your Desktop) shows _some_ information as well.

    You can also do
    Code:
    hwinfo
    as root, it gives very detailed output, but is by far not as readable as
    inxi.

    "a smolt", I don't know.

    But there was an internet database of that name, with an associated
    Linux application. It captured a profile of your machine and sent it to
    the database, if you gave permission.

    The project died.

    See wikipedia for more info.
