    Default D-Link DWA-132

    Hi,

    Good day to all.

I'm a newbie for linux platform but I managed to install SLED 11 SP1 on HP Compaq Business dc7600. Also, I'm using D-Link DWA-132 to connect to my wifi. However, I'm unable to configure the usb dongle to work in SLED 11 SP1. The chipset of the device is RTL8192CU. I have tried search in Google but it just makes me more confuse. Appreciate if any Guru's out there can guide me on this.

    Thank you.

You'll want the forums at http://forums.suse.com then rather than these -
SLED11 is based on an older version of openSUSE, but it's a separate
distribution from openSUSE as well, so there are going to be some
    differences.

Install the kernel-default-extra package (includes the 8192cu driver). Also make sure you have the kernel-firmware package installed.

You should upgrade to SLED 11 Service Pack 3, mainly because of the newer kernel and the drivers included.

Gentleman, this is NOT the SLES/SLED forum. Please go for SLES/SLED questions and answers to the appropriate forum at https://forums.suse.com/ as was suggested earlier.

I'm going to help him anyway, if you feel a need to lock the thread then do so.

IMHO it would be better to help him when he re-post in the correct forum. Then all SLES/SLED users could learn from it. That opportunity is lost now

That's where you'll want to ask your question.
