    polkit-kde-auth???

then I've searched in the logs and I found a lot of process polkit-agente-helper-1.... well, they are here although they are all two weeks old.

    Code:
aldebaran: # ps aux |grep polkit

I've killed them all (sounds like The Lord of The Rings :-) )
    Code:
    killall polkit-agent-helper-1

And I see that some begin to appear again.

    Code:

    Default Re: polkit-agent-helper-1 ?????

"polkit is an application-level toolkit for defining and handling the policy that allows unprivileged processes to speak to privileged processes: It is a framework for centralizing the decision making process with respect to granting access to privileged operations for unprivileged applications."
This of course should not be eating up CPU cycles. So something is very wrong. Unfortunately I don't know what

    Code:
    ps -ejH
May show some useful info. Maybe???
