Thread: software or package installation log

  1. #1

Default software or package installation log

I've just udpated my opensuse13.1 via the updater applet, and now I've got issues with some older software I keep around. Where can I see the log of packages that were installed, so I can start to debug this?

    Thanks!

    /var/log/zypp/history
    rpm -qa --last

And one thing that's always worth a try when having problems with software not starting or crashing (especially older ones, not installed from current repositories):
Run it in a terminal window, and have a look at the error message you might get.

If you use YaST, it has "undo". Not very much known nor tested, but it
    does exist.

But only the Gtk version has this, AFAIK.
