I upgraded Firefox from 24.0 to 27.0.1 (a big while since last update…). Now I note something strange in the New Tab window. This window shows a “preview” of 9 of the most frequently visited websites according to Firefox’s registry in the form of 9 small windows, right? Well, now the 9 previews never change, not even when restarting Firefox or rebooting OS; and I visit different pages each day. And for example, for websites that vary its front page frequently like Youtube, its preview on New Tab window doesn’t change neither.
Have I done something wrong? How can I fix?
Thanks.
I turned them off, so I don’t know if they would change for me. I would guess that if your privacy settings say to delete history at the end of a session, then they might not change.
Seems it appeared since 26.0, someone filed a bug report, AND DEVS DIDN’T CARE A NUT.
Just great…
Needless to say that I don’t have private browsing, deleting history, nor the like enabled. I just upgraded Firefox from one version to another without making changes in settings.

Use SeaMonkey new wine(Firefox) in old bottle(netscape like) interface
Aren’t New Tab thumbnails directly based on browsing history indeed?
If you have “remember browsing history” checked, then what “history” are you clearing when closing Firefox?
What’s that “tracking” stuff? All life I have gone by with Firefox’s default options, including “do not tell sites anything about tracking”. How can tracking affect me? Is it strongly advisable to tell sites NOT to track?
Also, I have never tried filing a bug in my life. If it’s not that hard, I may give a try…
