Thread: Remote Desktop from Windows?

  1. #1

    Default Remote Desktop from Windows?

I am not sure if this is the correct forum?

I would like to be able to remote (RDP) into my openSUSE 13.1 using my Windows 7 machine. I use my openSUSE as my P2Pool server so being able to access it remotely is a bonus.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

Hello aenglish, RDP is not a native Linux protocol but a Microsoft one but still, you may try:
    http://software.opensuse.org/package...arch_term=xrdp
    http://www.xrdp.org/

You may also consider using other remote desktop options like VNC, NX, or even Teamviewer.

    Regards.

Setup VNC server on the openSUSE machine, then download and install a VNC viewer on the WIndows machine. You'll need some reading, but it can be done.
