    Default Security

    Hello Folks,
I would like someone to help me in securing my linux laptop. My laptop sometimes hangs and i strongly feel that my OS security might be compromised. Could anyone please suggest measures that i can take to make my OS secure. Any docs that I can read regarding the same...
Meanwhile, i would also be looking out for articles and docs on the net.

    Would appreciate your help.

    Regards
    Nibiro

How does 'Hang' translate to a compromised system?
Do you have something less subjective to indicate your feeling?

Let's start with a description of the problem, rather than a guess as to
    what's causing it.

The default configuration for openSUSE is quite secure, so unless you've
tweaked any settings, the chances are that the problem is something much
more mundane than hackers/crackers trying to break into your system.

And adding to the above requests to provide factual information, please do not forget to tell what version of openSUSE you use. Until now we realy have next to nothing to understand you even remotely.
