Default linssid doesn't work on suse gnome 13.1

    Hi , everybody

I 've installed linssid that is a graphical wireless scanning on my laptop (x86_64 bit machines).
The installation of rpm linssid package has been successful but the application doesn't open when you try to lunch it from the desktop.
When i try to lunch it from the gnome terminal i get this error:

GConf-WARNING **: Client failed to connect to the D-BUS daemon:
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
    Errore di segmentazione

    I will appreciate any help
    Thanks a lot

    Hi
    I have built the 2.1 version in my testing repository on OBS;
    https://build.opensuse.org/package/s...ESTING/linssid
    http://software.opensuse.org/package...h_term=linssid

I had to add a wrapper script to get around sudo issues in the code,
plus it needed patching to build... It's interesting how it looks like
wifiplotter developed on these forums by one of our users around July
2012 but in python. You might want to try that one as well?

    hello,

I've installed both the wireless scanner that you have recommended to me and i'll thanks a lot for this help.
Now, that i look just a little more deeper inside of them, it seem to me that there is a significant difference in terms of signal power.
I suppose that the Linssid signal power scale is the same than wifiplotter, namely dbm.
The difference between them is about -15 dbm compared from tha same ssid and same access point signal.
Anyway, i'm going to test both linssid and wifiplotter, yet.
    Thanks,
    MAX
