Thread: Yast icon symbols?

  1. #1

    Default Yast icon symbols?

Where can I find the meaning of the various symbols shown in Yast?
Yast Software Management Help: Shift-F1 does not display the symbols. The symbols are all the same, a new doc icon.
I tried google and it mostly pointed to shift-F1

My curiosity is from seeing a red 'x' which I've never seen before. It was listed on microcode_ctl
    I'm running v13.1x64 KDE 4.11.5

    Thanks, Jon

In 12.3 and 13.1 packages with a red x are marked to be removed.

In Yast software manager the red x means the package will be removed.

If you right-click in the package list a context menu will show the symbols and their meaning.
