Thread: Touchpad Dell XPS 12-9Q33

    Default Touchpad Dell XPS 12-9Q33

I solved a touchscreen problem on the Dell XPS 12-9Q33 by upgrading to 3.13.1-3 kernel of the day kernel which solved my touchscreen problems. On the other hand there is a regression with the touchpad. Two/three finger touches for scrolling/middle click do not work any more. When I run
    Code:
    xev
I get "NotionNotify" events for one/two/three finger touches. However, only for one finger "button = 1" is part of the output, using two or three fingers produces identical output without a "button" designation in the output. On another laptop I get button outputs for two or three finger touches. Is this a configuration problem or a regression in the driver? The only thing changed was updating the kernel.

Thank you very much in advance.

    From /var/log/messages I get:
psmouse serio1: synaptics: Unable to query device.

This indicates a regression of the kernel of the day (several versions as of 7.2.2014) in the driver as compared to the 13.1 kernel. I would like to file a bug report. How to file such a bug for the kernel of the day?

    Thank you.

The bug is fixed as of kernel version 3.16
