Lost command prompt in konsole

I am using 12.3. Since yesterday I cannot get a command prompt in konsole. When I open konsole (KDE) I get only the cursor, not the prompt. This can be rectified by typing Ctrl+C.

Does anyone have any idea why this should have happened and how to fix it?

Maybe you entered a command that doesn't return in the default profile's settings?
What do you have in "Settings"->"Edit Current Profile"->"General"->"Command"?

Maybe try to remove/rename Konsole's configuration (~/.kde4/share/config/konsolerc) and/or all profiles (~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole/).

I have "/bin/bash" in "Command"
I tried renaming konsolerc and the profiles, but the problem persists.
