GNOME 3 Windows not responsive

Hello all.
For some reason after an indeterminate amount of time, the windows and desktop of Gnome3 stop responding to keyboard and mouse input as well as freeze in state (visually). However the taskbar and menu continue to work after everything else is frozen and terminals still function as intended besides the fact that the windows they reside are inoperable.
When I check the messages log, org.freedesktop.hostname1.service is started around the time that the windows freeze, however I’m not sure if there is a link.

I am running openSUSE 12.3 x64 with the latest updates.
I can also provide any other information nessesary.

Do you have any extensions ? Try disabling them and check whether the
issue occurs

If you have an intel graphics card then:-

We had an intel graphics card bug and it was fixed through an update.
Are all the updates installed through ?

sudo zypper up

Version 3.10.2
openSUSE 13.1 (Bottle) (x86_64) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 3.11.6-4-desktop

Updating the drivers appears to have solved the problem, though I can’t be 100% sure as it occurred randomly. Thanks.

Or not. It happened again, this time while no terminal session was running. I think the problem is the GNOME Media player extension.
