Default after kernel update via yast: kernel panic on boot

hi - I hope you can help me - after installing the current kernel patch for 12.3 today I get a kernel panic booting up with the new one (good thing it did put the old config right beside in the advanced boot menu) saying that there is no init entry - can you point me to the file containing the settings (I guess I can just plug in the old values) or is there a way to clean this up using yast? I googled a bit and found the grub.cfg but the entries for the old/new one seem to match well - maybe this is some initramfs problem or something? Well I'm a bit lost here - sorry.

nobody any clue? Maybe you can tell me how best to remove the "new" kernel (remove from grub, etc.) in a save way so that I can continue working as is or so I can retry updating using yast?

To remove a kernel go to Yast-software management search for kernel and remove the one you don't want.
