scanner problems

openSUSE 13.1, fresh install
KDE
HP3300 MFP

When trying to use the scanner I get the following errors in /var/log/warn:

As you can see I tried three different programs with the same results fo
each one.

This scanner worked previously with openSUSE 12.2 and still works with
Windows7 running in VirtualBox so I know the scanner works.

hi !

did the install work properly in Yast2 ? was the scanner recognized there ?

The first snapshot you put in pastebin signals a laserjet device so you you are trying to scan on a rinter do you have a laser printer connected ?

try unplugging the printer and clean install of scanner first

Yes, shows up in YaST.

The device uses one USB cable and the printer part no longer works.
