Default no sound on speaker after upgrading system

    Hi all,

After installing OpenSUSE 13.1 KDE, my sound worked fine. But after installing some updates to make the system up-to-date, there's no sound on speaker, there's only sound when I plug the headphone in.

    Thanks for helps!
Sometimes I forget to tell information about version, desktop.
    I'm using OpenSUSE 13.1, KDE 4.11

Did you check if there was a pulseaudio update?
Try reverting back to the previous one.

    Sounds like this bug:
    https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=853491
Is headphones selected in "Configure Desktop"->Multimedia->Audio and Video Settings->Audio Hardware Setup?
Try to change it. If it changes back after a reboot, you experience the same bug.

I would try to roll back a possible pulseaudio update as was already suggested. Enter YaST->Software Management and type "pulse" into the search field. If some of those packages are marked red, right-click on them and select "Update Unconditionally".

If that doesn't help, you could disable PulseAudio in YaST->Hardware->Sound->Other->PulseAudio Configuration if you don't depend on it.
