Curious about 8192cu usb dongle

Has anyone had attempted to use this dongle with OpenSUSE 13.1?

Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0bda:8176 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188CUS 802.11n WLAN Adapter

I currently have one that’s been giving me fits, and it’s just not this distro doing it. I’m just curious, if anyone has had success and keeping a decent connection. I can get it doing ok for about a half hour, then the connection is in and out. I’ve manually reloaded the 8192 using the command’s in post #4.

I’ll post how it does over the next few hours.

Thanks in advance for the input.

I’ll considered this self solved for now. It’s done a lot better since doing the steps in post 4.

I’d like to re-open this thread please. It’s gone back to hit or miss, and I’d like to know people experience using this chipset. Appreciate the feedback.
