Thread: KDE Kio Slave uses an entire cpu thread

Default KDE Kio Slave uses an entire cpu thread

According to my system monitor, I have a kio slave called kio_filenamesea that constantly uses up an entire cpu thread at 100%. I am running 12.3 on a 64bit system.

Does anyone know what kio_filenamesea is, and how I can stop it from using up an entire core?

    Thanks

    That should be kio_filenamesearch.

That's running if you use dolphin's search feature.

To stop it, just don't use dolphin's filename search...

Is it normal for it to consume a whole thread?

I just found a dolphin tab that was still looking for a Drive that I had removed. Closing that tab solved the problem.

    Thanks
