Question [OpenSUSE 13.1 RC2 KDE 32 bit] installed software do not defaultly appear on launcher?

    Hi,

I've installed several files via software.opensuse.org for 13.1 e.g peazip (this is better then 7zip right?) unfortunately I can't find the program via the launch menu (lower left geeko logo) to find it I have to manually type peazip via the search box and hit enter.

is this normal or a bug? I've installed google chrome/earth and it happen to be appearing via the launch menu.

thank you. sorry for not introducing myself (currently in Malaysia).

I confess to some confusion. Linux has its own compressed formats .gz,
..bz, .tgz, .tbz and some more, 7zip is a MS-OS compressed format tool as
is pkzip, and many others. It is not that Linux cannot read them but that
they are not native, see also MP3 AAC.
