Thread: Mozilla Thunderbird not closing

    Question Mozilla Thunderbird not closing

    Hey guys,

    has anybody experience this:

My Mozilla Thunderbird doesn't close when I hit Close or Exit, it does disappear from the screen, but the process keeps running and when I log back in, it shows right away, I noticed that once I do a kill for its process, kmozillahelper also closes with it, so I don't know if this has to do with Thunderbird process staying open.

I have the following Add-Ons with it:

    • Lightning
    • Google Contacts
    • Google Calendar provider for Lightning

Any ideas what can be causing this and what can I do to fix it?

    Thanks.

Simply try backing up .thunderbird to a safe location
Then remove all addons etc > test

Or, might be quicker > In TB go to Help tab > Restart with addons disabled
    Leap 15.1_KDE

Thanks, found that Lightning with Google calendar provider causes it, I already put a bug for the developers of google calendar provider Add-on.
