Thread: CD/DVD Labels for 13.1

  1. #1

    Default CD/DVD Labels for 13.1

As per the title, here they are:

    Vintage PCs and more

I'm surprised that there's no major change in the art/design from 12.3 to 13.1, so I've left the design as-is and just updated the numbers.

    Enjoy!

    Nice!

Question: what about black and white, high contrast, artwork?
Lightscribe units do not handle color.

It's something I used to consider in the old ones as I have an LS burner myself, but it's unfortunately slipped by the wayside as a) I rarely burn install media myself anymore (hooray USB), and if I do, it's usually a net CD. I don't have LS CDs so I resort to my printer with CD tray for a colour print.

Shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to link/send you the original SVG file so you can tweak it to suit your needs. I had a go with just adjusting the contrast/brightness of a B&W version and it looked like it would come out quite nice without much work

I can't do that on my laser - they'd be cooked and warped :-)

Thanks, but don't bother. I use usb sticks myself, it was just a
curiosity on my side, just in case you had them. If you have to spend
more time it is not worth it - but thanks :-)

    VP,
While I too was a bit disappointed by the artwork from 12.3 to 13.1 as usual your artwork is:
    MASTERFULL!!

Quick update to the Live labels - it was pointed out to me that the live images are >700MB and no longer fit on CD, ergo the label text has been changed to "Live DVD" where appropriate.
