Thread: Where is the timer that locks a session ?

  1. #1

    Default Where is the timer that locks a session ?

    openSUSE 12.3
    KDE 4.10.5

    When I am watching a video, about every 10 minutes the screen blanks except for this:

    Code:
    This session has been Locked
    Username Me
    Password _______________
    I have looked all over trying to find the timer for it so I can increase it but it is well hidden.

    So, where did you hide it ?
    openSUSE 13.2

    "Configure Desktop"->"Display and Monitor"->"Screen Locker".
    And there's also "Configure Desktop"->"Power Management" of course for blanking the screen.

    Which player are you using btw? Most of them should have an option to disable the screen locker while playing a video. (if it's flash-player, you're out of luck though)

    It's in the power settings.

    Or you can go to "Startup and Shutdown" (in desktop configuration), click on "Service Manager", find the "Power Management" line in the bottom panel, and click "stop". Leave the power manager still selected, and then it will auto-start on your next login (or you could restart manually).
    openSUSE Leap 15.1; KDE Plasma 5;
