Thread: Add/Remove programs down

  1. #1

    Default Add/Remove programs down

When using Konsole I get this message; - repoindex.xml[26] Entity 'nbsp' not defined. Possibly connected to a unsuccessfull attemp to install KeePassX from their homepage.
Trying to open Add/Remove programs in Yast it will not open and desktop will need to restart to ease the machine.
Updates works fine as do other functions except Samba that to be restarted all the time.
I would very much appreciate help to straighten this problem.

    Regards,
    Johannes

It's a little unclear what the issue is here - YaST calls this "software
    management", not "add/remove programs".

What version of openSUSE are you using? It seems you're using KDE as the
    DE, is that correct?

Also, I just noticed this is in the support information forum - a forum
about the forums, not about getting help with openSUSE. This thread will
be moved to the appropriate section. NNTP users, be aware.

Just a comment. When the system language is not English, you should do,
in order to post here, like this:

    Code:
    minas-tirith:~ # LANG=en_US.UTF-8 zypper info kvm
    Loading repository data...
Warning: Repository 'openSUSE-11.4-Update' appears to outdated. Consider
using a different mirror or server.
    Reading installed packages...
    (that's just an example)
