Default openSUSE 12.3 Gnome - Old style menu

    Hi,

I'm using openSUSE 12.3 Gnome. Is it possible to go back to the old style menus that were with 11.3?

    Thanks

    Peter

Nope. You'd have to go for the Cinnamon desktop, that has the GNOME 2 interface.

    Hi
Install extensions to get some things back, eg application menu etc.

Else upgrade to GNOME 3.8 and run the classic-shell (a collection of
extensions to add some things back)

Thanks very much for the replies.

It is a pity that the old style menu is no more, but I suppose that is progress!

    Best wishes

Thank you but I think I will wait for Gnome Flashback (https://wiki.gnome.org/GnomeFlashback).

    Hi
If you upgrade to 3.8 on 12.3 it's there (as I indicated in an earlier
post) else wait for 13.1 to be released...
