I've run into this myself. I'm not sure what's behind it, but for now I'm just using one of the mirrors.

Gentlemen, this is a non issue :-)
There are no updates on the non-oss repo, simply because there are none. Thus zypper warns that
there are no updates. The warning should be disabled for the repo, but there is no way we can do that.
Remember: proprietary software do less updates.
This issue is new now that the non-oss update repo is separated from the oss repo.

Because the OSS does have recent updates. The non-oss/x86_64 last update was mid-August. Now is
mid-September: two months, timeout! Warning! Danger!
