Hello, I got the following message doing zypper up: Warning: Repository 'openSUSE-12.3-Update-Non-Oss' appears to outdated. Consider using a different mirror or server. Any idea or suggestions? Thank you

I've run into this myself. I'm not sure what's behind it, but for now I'm just using one of the mirrors.

Hello chief_sealth, Thanks for the link. I did try switching to the URLs of both the Univ. of Utah and the Univ. of Waterloo Computer Science Clubs via YAST, but the warning message remains. I will ignore it for now, as openSUSE 13.1 is on the horizon.

kernel.org was working for me, now zypper is complaining again.

Gentlemen, this is a non issue :-)

There are no updates on the non-oss repo, simply because there are none. Thus zypper warns that
there are no updates. The warning should be disabled for the repo, but there is no way we can do that.

Remember: proprietary software do less updates.


This issue is new now that the non-oss update repo is separated from the oss repo.

They've been separated for some time, but I haven't seen this warning before this week. Not the first time there haven't been non-oss updates. Besides, why would it only warn fot the non-oss and not the oss?

Because the OSS does have recent updates. The non-oss/x86_64 last update was mid-August. Now is
mid-September: two months, timeout! Warning! Danger!
