Thread: openSUSE 12.3 UPDATE-NON-OSS REPO outdated?

It may well be that there are no updates scheduled for/available in the non-oss repository, but this doesn't reflect reality. Adobe has released an update for their Flash Player to version 11.2.202.310 appr. a week ago. Not that I like using flash, but unfortunately a lot of sites out there in the Internet still require it and I'd therefore prefer to get such updates in time, even for proprietary software. FWIW, other distributions have already published corresponding updates.

I saw this warning several months ago.

Then there was a flash update, and the warning went away.

As others have said, just ignore it.

Right. And the mentioned flash-player update is already in the queue, so this message should disappear in a few days anyway.

See [Bug 840410] zypper is complaining that the non-oss update repos are out :

We are already preparing an flash-player update. After it's released, this
    issue is resolved.

You may ask about the delay in the security mail list.

Well, that flash-player update has been released today, and the zypper warning has disappeared as well for me, as expected...
