    No package 'desktop-agnostic' found
    No package 'dbus-glib-1' found

    Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
    installed software in a non-standard prefix.

    Alternatively, you may set the environment variables DOCKMANAGER_DAEMON_CFLAGS
    and DOCKMANAGER_DAEMON_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
    See the pkg-config man page for more details.
    bri@linux-rbtt:~/Downloads/dockmanager-0.1.0>

    I installed the missing packages
    ''dbus-glib-1' with success

    and then trying
    'desktop-agnostic'

    desktop agnostic was only available as a tarball
    installing desktop agnostic I got the following ouput in the terminal

    bri@linux-rbtt:~/Downloads/libdesktop-agnostic-0.3.92> !!
    ./waf configure --config-backends=cfg, --vfs-backends=vfs, --desktop-entry-backends=de,

    Can anyone offer a suggestion on the best course of action at this point?

    Maybe search at software.opensuse.org and see if there's a precompiled
    package you can use?
