Default Logout after software update not working

    Hi,
I am running opensuse 12.3 with xfce.

I use the software update program that tells me there are updates and do i want to Install.
After the last one there was a popup saying that I needed to logout in order to get an update working.
The popup has a 'logout' button and I pressed that. And then nothing happened. I was not logged out.
It has happened before so it is no accident.
Does anyone know about this problem? Is it related to xfce perhaps?

    Regards,
    Nico

I think xfce just uses the GNOME PackageKit applet, doesn't it?
No idea about that. Could be that it's just a reminder for you to logout, and not meant to be clicked on... Maybe that's just an icon, not a button?

But have you tried to logout normally?

I thought it would ask for reboot on kernel update. openSUSE never asked
    me to logout after update

What you might do is close all apps and then hit ctrl+backspace twice
(this will kill the X server, and it should restart automatically).
