Angry KDE effects won't start after set to openGL

Changed KDE effects to openGL yesterday. Now I have to log in all the time to enter desktop and gets a frameless pink terminal in the upper right corner on it. I tried to set it back with "systemsettings" to XRender, but it is unable to load any effects. My GT520 runs on NVidia drivers.

This sounds to me like an issue with the nvidia driver.

Please install the package "Mesa-demo-x" and type the following into a konsole window:
    Code:
    glxinfo | grep direct
    Then post the output please.
