Question is, is anybody here who has indeed a Samsung device with Android and has tried Heimdall?
Do you need udev rules for this to work?
I’m not an Android user, but from what I can see, a suitable udev rule is simply used to provide user-level R/W access to the device via libsub.
I would expect so, since as I explained previously, it is used to provide user-level read/write access. From googling, it appears that the required rules (for various supported chipsets) come as part of the software package. What is your concern or confusion about this?
