    - xorg-server-xf4vnc-fix-keyboard-layout-handling.diff
Consolidate adapted patches for bugs 400520, 605015, and 660797 into
    single patch:
    -
    xorg-server-xf4vnc-bug660797-fix-keycode-lookup-and-isolevel3shift.diff
    - xorg-server-xf4vnc-bug605015-fix-keyboard-handling-xinput.diff
    - Fix fallout of keyboard fixes:
    - Keyboard handling was not XKB aware, which lead to a multitude
    of issues.
Situation with this patch is not perfect, but way better.
    - Analysis for shift/level3 event faking was broken, leading to e.g
    Shift+PgUp not being recognized correctly.
    - Fix *major* memory leak introduced by original 1.9 enabling patch

    there were more, from 2011-2010

Oh. You're talking about the *package* changelog.

Yeah; I was looking for an RPM changelog, but on reflection, I guess there's useful stuff in there for this purpose, isn't there.

Sorry; I left my brain in my other pants this week...

Heard back from Constantin Kaplinsky on the TightVNC mailing list, and he tells me that the 1.3.10 Xvnc is moribund. He recommended TigerVNC, and indeed, their Xvnc works fine, and appears to solve all my problems.

The project appears above board, which is good, cause the build process for that thing is a cast iron sonuva*****, and I'm using their binaries.

Someone should recommend to the OpenSUSE distribution release manager dropping the old Xvnc and switching permanently to Tiger, I suspect, as has Fedora. Does one do that by filing a bug?

i'd think a bug against it along with the input received from ML
(provide cites) should do the trick.
