You might open up YaST Software Manager and search on fuse or libfuse and make sure you don't somehow have more than one version installed perhaps. This can happen when using lots of repositories for instance that may not work together properly.

Is this a freshly installed system or upgraded? If so, how?

    Thank You,
searching for fuse and libfuse I have these packages installed:

    Package Installed (Available)

    enblend-enfuse 4.0-23.1.1
    fuse 2.9.0-7.1.1
    fuseiso 20070708-78.1
    fusesmb 0.8.7-231.1
    gvfs-fuse 1.14.2-2.1.2
    libfuse2 2.9.0-7.1.1
    mtpfs 1.1-1.1

as I can understand the only two with similar version are fuse and libfuse2, and they are the same version...

    thnx, ciao, :-) , pier

Your fuse packages seem to be ok.
But where do you have sshfs from (and what version)?

It doesn't solve the issue, but why not use SFTP? Supereasy to create connections in Dolphin. Achieves the same AFAIK.

I guess this is the problem.
Please try to install the one from the standard 12.3 repo:
    Code:
    sudo zypper in -f sshfs-2.4-5.1.1
