    This shopws that there is one VG consisting of the one PV (sda2). It's size is 119.09 GiB. Thus still nothing lost .
    It seems to have 2 Logical Volumes. I have the idea that only obe of those is in use by you. But we are going to look for them with:
    Code:
    lvdisplay -a

    I did successfully expand my partition while using LVM on 12.2 using YaST==>Partitioner

    It does seem to work (!):

    Code:
    df -hlT
    Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    devtmpfs                devtmpfs  1.9G  4.0K  1.9G   1% /dev

    You see now that you have two LVs there. One of 20Gb (and bound to be mounted at /) and 2GB (and bound to be used as Swap).

    The rest is tsill empty. My guess is that the intention (of you) is to use that for mounting at /home. But that simply did not materialise:
    . no LV created.
    . let alone no fiile system created on that LV,
    . this nothing mounted at /home.

    What were your plans?

    I must add that though it is of course possible to create a third LV on that VG, to create an ext4 (or whatever) file system on it and to mount that at /home. But there is already data at .home. Thus this data must first be copied away to a safe plavce and then aftewards restored to the new file system.

    Also you talk about encryption, but again I know nothing about what you planned to do.

    Ok, I now see that you have changed the thing completely so my story above can be forgotten.

    It might help others if you post a faq here(https://forums.opensuse.org/english/...iewed-how-faq/) .You can probably post it with screenshots linked from (paste.opensuse.org){do set the pastes to "non expiry"}
